About

WHY WE EXIST

We exist as a resource production company to assist local filmmakers in their craft by providing training, resources, and opportunities to apply and expand their skills, as well as encouraging accountability to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in what and how films are made. The Lord has brought writers, cinematographers, actors, composers, and editors together all in one place. We are all so different, and yet we are all brought together by our faith in Christ and our love of film making!

HOW WE GOT STARTED

In November 2006, soon after the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival one of our DFW members sent out an email asking if anyone was interested in forming a film makers group in the Dallas area. Many people responded, including some folks from Oklahoma. January of 2007, we had our first meeting!

OUR GOALS

  1. To glorify God in all we do.
  2. To encourage and facilitate networking and friendships between Christian filmmakers and those interested in film making.
  3. To facilitate collaboration between group members and other Christian filmmakers.
  4. To complete at least one film as a group per year.
  5. To build a support base that we can teach and be taught by as we learn our craft.

WHAT WE DO

MORE INFO TO COME about how often we meet and what we discuss.
- Periodically we have a “Treatment Meeting” where members bring treatments for their own film ideas to be presented, and (hopefully) voted in as the next group project.
